When powerful forces do damaging things, it can be unnerving. When educating and protecting the health of our children and fixing our country is what we should be doing, it is unnerving to watch our unhinged leadership play World War III games.
What can one individual do?
There is always painting pictures of my groceries. I painted this one in Hawaii. The Angel Heart bags have been my creative works lately. In good times art lifts higher. In challenging times art lifts up and out.
Painting is one of the many things that cheers me up. It communicates to me, the future is bright. Current problems are temporary. People who seem to be negative influences on my life or this world are simply teachers.
It might not seem like a tangible a thing to some. How can painting help? Arts, music, drama, theater, philosophy, kindness, helping the vulnerable and many other things which serve love are the intangible things that when done by large enough numbers, creates the bulwark to war. Enough people know the costs and they will no longer tolerate it.
I remind myself, this too shall pass.
It always has… one day this volatile world will know peace. Even those who make money in the weapons industry will see war is too high a price to pay.

Oh, and not to change the subject, but my new book just arrived!
