I can’t comment on these books yet since they are not finished, but here are two of several books I felt inspired to get and read lately.
However, this week has taken a detour. I attended a Celebration of Life service this week for someone I’d known since childhood. My heart hurts with joy that I have known him, and pain that we are losing him. My heart hurts for his family.
Such times rip the heart open. My feelings and I have been working on a truce which has not yet been worked out so I feel pretty raw. Life exists on a non-verbal introspective plane.
The surface glides by as the depths churn. I went to work today and it passed much like any other day, but it also felt like a walking, talking meditation.
Then, when I returned home, meditation felt like the normal way to spend a spare hour then it didn’t feel like enough time spent.
It is a time not of answers, and not even of questions but of the Void… what I call the silent, still place before manifestation of thought, feeling or sensation. All I want to do now is be in that place and rest. It is a good tent for the tender moments in life.
This is a tender moment.
