Above are the flowers taken all in the same hour at my house. I am grateful for the resident I did not meet who lived here before. Her personality shines through what she has left.
In the midst of moving, my place of employment was also undergoing major change, as it was purchased and ownership changed hands officially October 1st. Stellar switched to Ensign.
I needed to onboard as did the rest of the company staff which involved reapplying for our jobs. So needless to say, I had a lot going on.
All the more reason coming home to blooming flowers, a newly set up house and a silly roaming neighborhood chicken was such a pleasure.
I have accepted life is a forever cycle of challenges mixed with joys. The joys come from friendship, love, creativity and nature. The challenges come from what this world demands of us.
Someone once said service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth. That resonates with me. I don’t mind providing the service to others. I would do that voluntarily because it feels good and natural to do so.
A lot of the benefit I enjoy was made possible by the work of others who preceded me and I do my part to give back. We are all interdependent. I pay my service ‘rent’ because I am so grateful to live for a while on this earth. That privilege is so worth it.
