Some months are bigger paradigm shifters than others. When I took the above picture of the work shed a couple short months ago, this was a property I had just become aware of. I have looked at countless properties and searched at least 100 on-line in the last two years.
I was hopeful but a little skeptical. Cautiously optimistic but knew how many hurdles stood in the way of owning this home.
Now I am moved in, mostly unpacked and planning the next life actions which include this shed. Much is possible with this house that wasn’t before.
Grateful that my own risk taking and courage levels rose to the challenge, and feel excited for the days to come.

A sunrise on my way to the Breakthrough T1D walk in Denver. I walked it with my brother and his family.

My trips to Denver have reduced in number since it is now a 2 hour trip from Cañon City instead of a 1 hour trip from Colorado Springs.
Denver has amazing parks and events. Cañon City has the small town simplicity and nature. I love both.
I am publishing this blog on my birthday. This birthday will be pretty low key. I’ve passed through so many significant hurdles in the last few months that it feels like I have the best birthday gifts I could have possibly imagined.
All is right with the world, and this is the first day of the rest of my life.
Looking forward to it.
