Reflections

I’ve missed my step goal maybe 4 times in the past 3 weeks. This is from a walk this week.
I haven’t posted a selfie in awhile. I just took this in my writing space in my apartment. (6/24/24)

The barrel cactus bloom inspired me most this week. It seemed to say, when life hands you people with mowers, bloom anyway.

It’s a metaphor of course. No one is trying to mow me down that I am aware of. But the mower comes in many forms. It also works in the emotional realm.

If I am lacking in confidence life will trample (mow) me. When I claim my worth and beauty, (true for each of us) others see my worth and beauty. The mower somehow seems to pass over doing no damage.

May your inner barrel cactus be strong and radiant, and your inner prickly pear cactus heal quickly.
