Oh yeah, it’s Tuesday again. It was a week of losing track of time.

This photo I just took. I am literally still sitting in bed covered in blankets but threw on a sweat shirt because it is chilly in the room this morning. My groggy head is coming up with what to say even as I type this.
Books I am currently reading include:
Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari which considers humans and the evolution of technology up to the development of AI. It is less about technology and more about a bird’s eye look at human nature, how we have thrived and how we have faced short-comings as a species.
Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver which is a novel about a delightful and hilarious little boy growing up in Appalachia. This is one of my favorite novelists. In the past, I’ve read Bean Trees, Pigs in Heaven (which is a sequel to Bean Trees) The Poisonwood Bible, and a non-fiction book she wrote called Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Her character named Taylor in the The Bean Tree series is also hilarious and has similarities to my own character Eva.
Perilous Power: The Middle East and U.S. Foreign Policy, by Noam Chomsky and Gilbert Achcar. Noam Chomsky has always been a reliable go-to when something about American foreign policy baffles me. He talks less in the “how is the current administration doing” sense which seems to be the dominant way modern media tends to cover things. Instead, like many other Chomsky writings, it covers a broader look at what has happened over the last 50 years and what is the context of it today?
Fundamentals of Character Design: How to Create Engaging Characters for Illustration, Animation and Visual Development. Authors: Randy Bishop, Sweeney Boo (cool name), Meybis Ruiz Cruz, and Luis Gadea. The book just looked interesting. It has been helping me with the Project Angel Heart bags.

Also, I am still working full-time as a CNA at a local nursing facility.
The project of the week is, I just finished setting up a MacBook Pro, external monitor, mouse, and large keyboard for my father yesterday to replace a PC he was using that was very old and on it’s last legs. The computer is ready, I just need to convert a few files for him to the newer spreadsheet and word processing programs.
I am grateful for life. Life is fragile. I am feeling that strongly these days. I am sending love to friends and relatives. I am sending love to all in and out of my own communities. May we all thrive together.
