Thanksgiving was a success with 20 people.
I thought of getting permission to post the pictures, but the task of getting permission from all 19 (I have my own permission) seemed like more work than I wanted to go through. This is a dilemma of doing this blog. Even when I do events with others, I only post the pictures with me in them falsely making it appear I never do anything with anyone else, or I live massively self-absorbed.
Neither is true. In time, perhaps I will find some healthy balance. For now, I choose to err on the side of other people’s right to privacy, at least as it relates to my blogs.
I can’t do much of privacy violations I and they are encountering in other ways. That is a topic for another day.
Today the topic is the changing of the holidays.
More importantly, at least for me, the holiday is about reconnection to the most important aspects of life. It is about re-evaluating, transcending and reorienting.
As the lights and trees go up, and all the festivities unfold, I commit to keeping it real.
Then when the holidays are through, to continue to keep it real.
The world needs that.
