I took this photo yesterday, June 29, as I was in Penrose returning from Colorado Springs to Canon City.
I understand it is one of several fires in Colorado and Utah. Below is a short video which shows the plume of smoke.
Prayers to those risking their lives battling these, and for those whose homes and lives are affected.
I like to think this is a phase we are going to pass through then return to a cooler planet temperature. I realize global warming is real, but I can’t imagine the highest of who we are and have been is headed for this kind of destiny where temperatures continue to rise. I have to believe a shift will happen.
Grateful for my health, friends and family because I know how fragile life is in this world. I send love and compassion to the younger generations. I pray the highest of what I have experienced and greater will be available to you also as you walk and explore this earth.
May our biggest challenges be overcome, and may we all be good stewards of a fragile earth and each other.
