There were deer in the tomatoes this week. This is not uncommon. My parents drove them away… til next time. The deer really, really like the garden.
I saw the movie ‘The Odyssey’ in the theater and enjoyed it. I realized how poorly I remember the old Greek stories I’d learned in school. It seems I’d learned much about Hellenic stories and characters, and much was familiar, but who was fighting who in those main epic tales? Why? I know I used to know that. Now I want to read up on those stories to remember.
I also saw Disclosure Day recently. Those two were the only movies I’ve watched in the theater this year. (So far)
Fun fact, I saw and filmed the Aspen Acres fire the first day it had started as I was driving home from Disclosure Day. I was coming back from watching it in Colorado Springs.
I’m not drawn to all the new movies out there but occasionally one surfaces. I want to see ‘Steal This Story Please’ about Amy Goodman and Democracy Now. It is in select theaters. I may seek it out or wait until I can stream it.
I am writing more but have less to say. Blog writing is transforming to larger writings. It feels good to be back to it but plan to keep this blog going also possibly along with some new website edits.
