This is the colorful corner of the apartment. The fully bloomed orchid arrived this week. It called to me. My other two are slowly coming into bloom.

I am reading Lord of the Rings. I am almost finished with the Fellowship of the Ring. Having recently watched the series of movies, it is interesting to see the differences between the book and the movie. The first time I’d read the book was in my twenties, and saw the movies many years later, so I am enjoying getting re-acquainted with the extra details, locations, and characters that aren’t in the movie.
I’ve started going to the gym in the mornings, and the plan is to go four mornings or more. The difficult cold is nearly gone, and now I am climbing my energy, strength, and immune system back up. Although I am tired, overall my health is good.
The videos of choice this week have been documentaries of film making and geology videos. I just finished watching a series of videos of the history of Scotland. But I have done more hours of reading and painting this week than watching videos. Of course work wins for the number of hours spent as usual. Good thing I like my job and I like people. I see a lot of them.
I’d love to say more, but that is all that is in this tired brain at the moment. May next week find my normal levels of energy and enthusiasm restored.
