Bird’s Eye Contemplation

I am Stepping back and looking at the bigger picture and meditation, prayer, and exercise including walks help during those times. I have been walking some new areas using some guides I bought, and loving the Colorado Springs and close by new trails. I have found, and it is a great opportunity/excuse to walk and talk with friends.

As opportunity allows, I am looking forward to expanding to other areas of Colorado. I love the Boulder area, and many national parks are close by. You can find all over Colorado everything from light, easy hikes (mine) to walking up mountains, and everything in between.

I have been on many walks with friends in local parks, and tried to get a few to walk a large mountain hike in the Rocky Mountain National Park system in the north side of Colorado. No takers yet for the major natural park walks, but I am looking forward to the Parkinson’s charity Walk on October 5 in Denver. I walked it last year and enjoyed it so will go again.

In my childhood I hiked up many mountains with family or friends including at least 3 14K footers. (I say at least 3 because I know I hiked up Longs Peak at age 5, one of the collegiate peaks at about age 13, and Pikes Peak in my early 20s.) I might have done a 4th in all of the childhood mountain hikes. Those memories have faded with time.

Once again, as life permits, and friends are wanting to, the parks are calling.
